Mental Health First Aid Trainer and Expert in Professional and Leadership Development
A sought out trainer, Lauren’s expertise include curriculum development and the facilitation of various trainings in the areas of community and organizational wellness, leadership, trauma-informed care, and mental health. She is a Certified Mental Health First Aid Trainer (Youth & Adult), through the National Council for Wellbeing; a Master Trainer in Adverse Childhood Experiences, Trauma Informed Care, and a certified facilitator of the various Cognitive Behavioral Programming.
Lauren is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) with over 16 years of experience providing therapeutic support and interventions to youth and adults involved in the correctional/mental health systems, as well as facilitating professional development and training throughout DC, Maryland, and Virginia.
Lauren also holds extensive experience supporting professional and organizational development for public sector and community outreach organizations. In addition, Lauren offers coaching to organizations and leadership who are seeking assistance with cultivating emotionally healthier staff, leaders, and work environments. Lauren holds an undergraduate degree in Sociology from the University of Virginia and a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health and Rehabilitation Counseling from Virginia Commonwealth University. Lauren currently works at Anchored Hope Therapy, a highly specialized trauma-specific mental health private practice in Annapolis, Maryland as well as provides therapeutic supports and resources through her individual company, The Journey2Well, LLC. She specializes with working with individuals through life transitions and specifically working with client’s in the helping profession.
Lauren holds a passion working with those in the helping professions and for making mental health, holistic wellness, and healing accessible for all by connecting individuals and organizations to resources, training opportunities, and supportive tools that will be supportive to their healing journey.
